Course Description:

Until now dental phobias and anxieties have caused a significant population of patients to avoid needed care. This sub-set of patients has been documented in the literature and multiple approaches have been attempted to help solve their deep-rooted fears. Current thinking in neuroscience has uncovered the mechanism that encodes these emotions and has created a simple algorithm to rapidly, safely and permanently remove them from the psyche of these individuals. You will learn the underlying biology and the technical expertise to remove unwanted and unhelpful responses and allow for optimal care. These Techniques which are called the “Havening Techniques” are currently being used world-wide to great success.  Open up a part of your practice that will bring new and interesting cases to your chair and create the gratitude of all those you serve.

Presenter Biography:

Dr. Steven Ruden collaborated with his twin brother for over ten years in the development of the Havening Technique. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University in 1971. He enjoys a successful practice for over 40 years and has published in the area of dental phobias. In addition Dr. Ruden is a certified hypnotherapist. He is also a consultant and coach for individuals and Fortune 500 companies including PepsiCo and Smith Barney in the area of communication.
