Course Description:

Explore evidenced-based, Breath-Body-Mind Integrated Yoga & Mindfulness tools for better physical and mental well-being, reduce stress, enhance focus & concentration, increase resilience, buffer against burnout & respond skillfully to work-life-related   challenges, increase strength & flexibility of bones, joints & muscles, ergonomics issues, improve posture & balance, prevent & reduce neuromuscular problems. This interactive participative workshop includes:  Breathing techniques, gentle body stretches, joint rotations, six movements for the spine, movements, postures and mindfulness & meditation practices. These tools can be modified to be practiced for one minute or more, by everyone, anytime, anywhere; office or home, on or off the yoga mat, sitting or standing, chair-side or at your desk and in groups or alone. Pause-Breath-Stretch-Move to Create Calm, Vitality & Health Amid a Busy Life.

Presenter Biography:

Dr. BJ Mistry DDS,MDS ,Certified Pediatric Dentist, Private Practice ,Tarrytown, NY (32 years)

Former Assistant Clinical Professor, Albert Einstein Hospital (20 years), ADA Champion: Evidenced Based Dentistry (2011) Certified 500 Hours Yoga Teacher & Certified to Teach Yoga in Schools by Kripalu Yoga School, Lenox. MA, Certified Life Force Yoga Teacher for Anxiety & Depression, Level-1.

By integrating ancient eastern wisdom and wellness practices into the modern western lifestyle, Dr. BJ Mistry inspires her students to pursue and enjoy the benefits of Yoga both on and off the mat, and to incorporate their practice into their daily lives and careers. Emigrating to the U.S. from India at age 24, Dr. Mistry has established a highly successful pediatric dentistry, treating thousands of children over the course of her 35-year career. She resides in Tarrytown, New York with her husband and has two young daughters.
